Is it worth getting an all in one so I can move sleeping baby out of car without a fuss or should a get a long lasting car seat and lightweight pram?

I don't drive but my partner does and I visit my mother a lot and get a lift from him which is why the transferable car seat was originally important, but I'm now thinking a separate seat and pram would be better suited to me as it'd be lighter and easier to collapse and the car seat could be bought so it's longer lasting and isofix.

How much of a fuss would moving a sleeping baby out of a car seat be would I regret not getting a travel system?

I would get an extended rear facing car seat 0-4 years.

Then a pram that can be folded in one piece, suitable birth to toddler, and comfy for naps out.

Baby shouldn't be in car seat more than 30mins at a time if possible, so by the time you are dropped off, baby should be out seat really anyway. And if at your mums all day you will want pram to be comfy for them to lay flat whilst napping

Think about do you need pram to be suitable for off-road? Or on public transport? Or whatever. They will factor in what you buy

As pp above says, rear facing 0-4 and a pushchair that suits your needs. Babies shouldn't be in car seats for long and they're so bloody heavy to lift and carry

Think about your lifestyle: someone who can store a bulky pushchair in a spacious hall and wheel it out round country tracks? Or generally urban and needs to fold compactly for car boot/bus etc?

My criteria are:

Reversible seat
Lie flat (not bucket) seat
Easy to fold in one piece
Compact fold
Not too heavy
Decent wheels (we are not in the city)
Decent basket

I have an easywalker mosey which I love, but there are plenty of others on the market that fit these criteria.

Don't be suckered into buying a big heavy travel system - waste of money!
