Oyster max tandem for new baby and 2.5 year old

I've been looking at second hand double buggies- will have a new baby in November and ds will be 2.5.
Any experience using this buggy for these ages? Ideally I'd like the newborn front facing at the top- is this possible without the carry cot?
Any other things to consider?

It is an excellent tandem. Very good to use. You can have the newborn facing you at the top, in the seat unit laid flat.

Just check it fits in your boot when folded. The chassis is large, and the seats can be folded or left open to find the best fit.

You can't have the newborn front facing with the pram flat unless your toddler is especially diminutive and doesn't like a view.

Rearfacinh is fine and my prefer mode, or else the carrycot on the bottom

A friend had one and really wasn't a fan, the fact you can have them facing each other meant the babies kept kicking each other in the face! icandy, uppababy or baby jogger have all been recommended to me.
