What Pushchair would you recommend

Hi I'm currently looking for "The right buggy" for a new born upwards. I don't drive but use cabs to get most places ie food shopping seeing the grandparents etc so thinking I need a travel system??? I need to be able to integrate the carseat into the pushchair otherwise I'm just carrying it around with me. I do use public transport a lot too so needs to be lightweight and slimline. I like the old classic styles but its more about functionality than style at this point! Any suggestions would be great!

Most buggies can take a car seat, you don't need a travel system. In your situation, I'd get a baby jogger city mini and a lie flat car seat like the cybex Aton cloud q - this is more expensive than other car seats but you can use it instead of a carrycot as it lies flat on the buggy. Babies shouldn't be in a traditional car seat for more than about half an hour as it can restrict their oxygen intake. Just make sure the car seat can be used without an isofix base. The cybex uses the same adaptors as the maxi cosi.

We have the baby jogger city mini too and it's brilliant, we don't have a carrycot with it as it lies flat so baby just sleeps in it fine it we occasionally use it with car seat too

Thanks Hufflepuffin and AprilShowers16 That's really helped me out! The reviews come out great on the Baby city mini jogger and I have to say I do love a three wheeler as had a Phil and Ted Sport for my first two but that was eight years ago now and don't have it anymore!

The gt version seems to be the most beloved!

I love my icandy strawberry. What I would advise though, is go and try them out. Not all pushchairs will suit you and what may be right for one person may not be right for you.

May I strongly suggest that if you are using a "travel system" that you get a lie flat car seat such as a Kiddy Evoluna i-Size or Evolunafix or the Cybex Cloud Q. Car seats really should not be used instead of a carrycot or lie flat pushchair for a baby. I really would think twice about how you travel before leaving home each time and only use the car seat as necessary, and use the carrycot most of the time. I know taxi's are exempt from car seat regulations - but its a long time since I took a pushchair in one. Can you still drive the pushchair straight into a black cab? (I am not saying you should BTW.)

I would be maybe considering a Babyzen Yoyo or a Baby Jogger as your pushchair.
