Maclaren Major Questions

Hi everyone,

Would anyone please be able to tell me the highest setting of the shoulder straps on the Maclaren Major Elite, and also if it has any plastic clips in the back of the seat where you can attach reins? We couldn't find it on the Maclaren website and we were hoping someone who has one could tell us?

Sorry to ask such a basic question, but we need to know to decide whether we'll buy one. We tried the "contact us" page on the Maclaren website but it wouldn't work and we couldn't see a phone number either.

(This is my first post here so I hope it's in the right place!)

Do you not live near a John Lewis or a mothercare? They have usually got strollers etc on the shop floor for you to look at

Thanks very much for the suggestion, but the Major Elite isn't held in stock in the stores as I think it's considered a special needs product.

Thanks for the reply though!

If it's a SN product then have you tried posting your question on the SN boards here? You may be more likely to come across a parent who has one then?

Or...
try this link for a supplier
They have lots of info on the page.
And
A PHONE NUMBER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE Grin
Good luck :-)

I'm pretty sure all buggies sold in Britain have to have two d rings for attaching your own harness, but I've no idea where I got this from so can't back it up!

CanaryCars · 09/08/2016 21:26

Thanks very much SpaceDinosaur - we'll give them a call (am I silly for being pleased that a company actually advertises their phone number!?)

Thanks Hufflepuffin - hopefully it will have them in that case!

Thanks again!

Nope, I'm the same canary.
As they're a specialist supplier they should be pretty damn good over the phone too :-)

Good luck!

There's no requirement for D rings any more. I have seen an image of a Maclaren Major with D rings (right down the sides by the frame) but several without them. Hopefully the specialist retailer can assist you.

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say thanks for the help – we spoke to specialneedspushchairs and they were really helpful. Should it be useful to anyone, the Major Elite does have the plastic clips for reins but they’re on the sides of the waist strap. We don’t really understand how useful that is, but we’ve posted on the special needs board for more help as suggested.

Thanks again for the help, and sorry for posting on an old thread!
