Stand for a carrycot?

Hi all, this is my first message so not sure if is a too long shot... but do you know if the moses basket stands/bases are any good to hold the Silver Cross Wayfair carrycot?
At the moment that is the pram I would like to buy buy I am open to other advice. It is on offer for £600 with car sit and changing bag so I think it is a really good price?

I don't think the silvercross carrycot is recommended for overnight sleeping. As the mattress isn't ventilated

We used one for ours for daytime naps but it was a SC carrycot suitable for overnight use. Also on a chest of drawers when space was limited. A Moses basket isn't that expensive though.

It says on the product descrption it is suitable for overnight.
I thought the SC carrycot would be better than a moses basket?? Specially because they are so cheap...

If you are buying the carrycot anyway then fine but Moses basket is perfectly good as a first bed otherwise. Much lighter to move around too , if you prefer to keep baby nearby.

Yes, I am buying the carrycot to go out the first moths.
I think I'll end up buying both just in case

every child is different and all that... for my first I lovingly prepared a moses basket next to my bed, which the baby pretty much never slept in. It made a great dumping ground for blankets, muslins etc i suppose. She was too big for it by about 4 months anyway (and she was a dinky baby) but technically too young for her own room and cot yet.

At 6 months chucked her in the cot in her own room and battled from there (prior to this there was a lot of unintended co sleeping and DH in spare room).

I also had a carrycot on the pram which was used A LOT as the baby seemed to only sleep when moving (or being held).

Child 2 has cheerfully slept alone from very early on, so much so when she outgrew the moses basket at about 3 months I bought a crib (which is bigger) so I can more easily keep her by my bedroom for a bit longer.

IF I had my time again, I would get a carrycot and swinging crib if I was being prepared, or just a carrycot if i was short on space and wanted to wait and see what the baby was like before committing.

Thanks for all the replies. I am diffinitely buying a carrycot, but I was wondering if this would fit on a moses basket stand. Now I am thinking of buying a full moses basket because is not much more on top of the price of the stand alone, so I wonder if I would put the carrycot on the stand.
I remember with first daughter (who slept in a carrycot+stand that I borrowed and I thought this was a moses!) she had colic so once she was sleep we tried to move her as little as possible, that's why I think, if we have a similar problem with this one, and he falls sleep on the carrycot I would not want to move him to the moses basket.
Maybe I am thinking too much, but I am terrified of the colic nights...

I need to clarify, the carrycot + stand I borrowed was of the same brand, not a generic moses basket stand. Hence my doubts. I also live in a small place and my local pram shop (I am checking out the only other one this weekend) doesn not stock moises basket stands to try with carrycots.
The decision of buying full moses+stand was made after the good advice here :)

My brother lent us a rocking moses basket stand from toys r us. We used that downstairs, and the Moses basket stand and basket itself upstairs.

Ah! great! I haven't bought it yet, the offer is open until the 20th of July so I am just covering all the options, but I totally love it.
Can I ask you a bit out of topic, how do you find the stirring/wheels? This is where the reviews are not great and the only reason why I haven't bought it yet.

I didn't have a silver Cross but with ds1 just used the moses basket stand is used on dd's moses basket.
I never bothered with the moses basket second time around just a carrycot for overnight sleeping. Did this for 2 reasons. First was the moses basket was hardly used. Felt I was getting my money's worth using the carrycot. Secondly it was so handy with a new baby who was guaranteed to be sleeping when Dd and I needed to go out or she had to be at nursery. Didn't need to put snow suits and things on a sleeping baby. Popped a hat and some cosy blankets and the carrycot cover on and off we went. Was much less hassle than getting up a sleeping baby dressing him and getting him in the pram. Was ha dynamic going from indoors to outdoors for groups and things with Dd as he wasn't in outdoor clothes as such just took his had and blankets off.

Yes, this is the exact reason why I wanted to use a carrycot for overnight sleeping too :) and that if the baby falls sleep in the carrycot we don't have to move him again at night.
