Sell me your lightweight stroller please!

I'm finally biting the bullet and getting rid of my armadillo city, I hate it. Horrible to push and I hate the stupid clips. I've got no idea why I bought it, we had an original armadillo which I also hated! We only use it as a spare to live in the car, we have a Zoom as our main one which I quite like.

So - one piece fold is a must, preferably umbrella. Lightweight (the armadillo is heavy to push AND carry) definitely. Not fussed about shopping basket as we don't really use it, as long as we can stick the raincover in it. And on the subject of the raincover this is an area where I am fussy, I don't like the ones that go over the top and are like a big bubble, I like ones that clip neatly to the hood.

Not sure on budget, I'd be prepared to pay more for something amazing!

We bought a maclaren (quest?) 2nd hand and it has been fab very lightweight and does the job!

If you're in S/W Yorkshire I've got an old Baby Jogger City Mini you can have. It's battered but functional.

Bike I'm in the SE but thank you! Would you recommend the baby jogger then? I do read good stuff about it...

I have the red kite Quatro - it's brilliant, lightweight, has a carry handle, and is easy to put up and down

I massively recommend the BabyJogger City Mini. It's not super duper light (but light enough), folds like a dream, reclines easily and big enough that my v tall DS could still fit it at 4.

That sounds super Bike , I always kid myself that I will keep the same one until they're old enough to come out of it yet three children and countless pushchairs later... Basically it just needs to be an easy fold so I'm not standing struggling with it while everyone else is in the car waiting for me. Baby is one so no need for carrycots or car seats. I'm sort of tempted by a basic maclaren but I'd probably get bored...

I was thinking about getting the armadillo city for holidays but reading this has made me question that decision. My second choice was a BJCM which Imve had previously and loved but was dubious about getting as I have a larger pushchair that I want to keep using while here.

Fank I know some people like it so it's probably best to go and try it somewhere if you can. I really wouldn't recommend it for holidays though, I'd want something lightweight which (as I may have mentioned haha) it really isn't. And if you're going anywhere with cobbles it's horrid. We took it away with us where there were loads of hills and cobbled streets and it was a nightmare!

We have the silver cross pop which is great, easy fold, light enough, and can hold children up to 25kg.

The rain cover goes over the top, but it's a neat fit and clips at the bottom so secure.

The footmuff to match looked lovely but the zip burst after only a few times and reading reviews it seems to be a common flaw.

The thing j love most about it is the extendable sun canopy - my DD hates the sun in her eyes and most sun canopies don't do the job - especially with the low summer sun.

I bought a baby jogger city mini, it weighs a fucking tonne. Really hated it, I wanted it as a lightweight in and out of car buggy but it's so not and the raincover is a pain to put on when it's pissing down as you have to put it through the handle. I was so disappointed as was excited for ages to get one.
I sold that and got a mamas and papas trek stroller. Much lighter, seconds to put up and down and does exactly what I need it to.

I like maclarens, you can't beat the brand. We have a maclaren triumph as a light weight car boot /holiday buggy. It's suitable from 6 months, has a recline but not totally lay flat for a newborn. The raincover is small and clips onto the edge of the waterproof hood. We bought a seat liner and footmuff to make it extra cosy. If you want a full recline then the quest is probably more suitable although make sure it's a newer version as the older ones are not completely flat. The XT are also good But I'd class them as a more Main buggy, heavier and much more expensive. And long to fold, so take up space diagonally in your boot. Good luck choosing.

Following, and adding a vote NOT to get an Baby atlas, its awful to push and weights a ton. It has been used literally 2 times and now lives in the garage - and I can't justify buying another :(

Luckily still got the M&P Sola which is OK, did DD age 3 now doing DD age 8 weeks. I do get buggy envy though! I fancy the Babylon Yoyo but not sure I can justify the cost!

I'm almost definitely getting a Joie Brisk Lx. Completely left field option but it looks really good and was a good price too! The armadillo is goooooooone woohooo!

I'm a huge supporter of the Yoyo+ it's amazing / v much worth the price

Babyzen yoyo all the way. Expensive though! Folds v small, I find it better to push than a Maclaren. Quite basic if that bothers you.
