stable buggy that sits very upright?

Hello

In need of a new buggy that sits quite upright and is very stable.

Roomy would be good as DS is developmentally delayed in terms of walking but doesnt need posural support so doesnt qualify for a SN pushchair (he is 11.5kg @ 16 months).

Needs to be stable enough not to tip up as cart around a fair bit of medical equipment at the moment.

Not an expert by any means but isn't there a maclaren that works for older children/children with additional needs which is larger than a standard buggy and more stable. One of the mums at school has one for her 4 year old with ASD.

oh i know what you mean that would just tip up i think have about 5kg of equiptment.

Do you need/want an umbrella fold? All my kids were quite big so I always had big sturdy non umbrella buggy's that could also accomodation a lot of shopping. The emmaljunga ones are pricey but very sturdy with big seats (I think mine was called scooter). It is currently used by a friend whose very sturdy 4 yr old is developmentally delayed. I also have an ancient original mountainbuggy which I have recently used with my tall five year old when she had hurt her foot. Also has a metal shopping tray under it. Old landrover atp s will also do older kids.

Please can I ask could you get much in the scoot tray? Appreciate models may have changed a bit.

Trying to remember. It was okay I think. Not bad. However I do remember loading that buggy up. Bought it when my youngest was 19 months old and the one above it was 5. I had at times both girls in it plus school bag plus shopping. It was a real workhorse and with being sturdy and stable you could also hang stuff off the handle. I never rated umbrella folds that highly and I do habe a small renault modus and it somehow fitted in. Also used buses a lot. I think the swedish prams have higher weight limits and are designed for taller kids wearing more padded clothing and footwear. Can you find a shop that sells emmaljunga and get them to order one in?

The uppababy , is a lovely pram but I would doubt that it is particularly good for a toddler with developmental delay.

Interesting madwoman , although I've read the reports and they haven't tested the Geo and the lining of the new model (just come out) is completely different fabric to the old one and the Day. Also says its a 'possible' carcinogenic, so now less risky than bacon/sausages etc recently declared as definitely carcinogenic!
