Hi all,

About to buy a pram for baby no 1 and feeling pretty overwhelmed by the options! Baby is due in the middle of September so we haven't got masses of time left...

Basically we're after something that 2 children can fit in (but I'm not having twins, just don't want to buy a new pram in 18 months or so time), off-road would be good because we live near lots of fields so pushing the pram round there would be easier with an off road able pram. I want to be able to look at the baby so the carrycot and seat bit needs to be reversible. I really like the look of the icandy and we looked at the icandy all terrain but it isn't dual-able and also seems to be sold out everywhere until late September so that's probably a no-go. We have looked at the peach 3 but doesn't look so good for off-road...

Any advice or help would be very much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Have a look at the new uppababy vista. We have the original one and it's amazing. Unfortunately the second seat addition on ours is poor but on the new one it looks ace. It's extremely manoeuvrable and easy to use.

I think the normal icandy peach is pretty good for some off-road - eg a grassy field with some bumps, wouldn't possibly work for a really muddy field - but not much will, really!

Hi, I don't know much about the ICandy all terrain but I have the Peach 3 and can recommend it for off-road, it has foam tyres and suspension all round and I found it really easy to push around the countryside. I heard the new Vista lost it's best buy rating, is that something to do with the second seat?

The Peach 3 is a good option! i used it as a single pram and then when baby number 2 arrived i was able to turn it into a double pushchair, all you need are these icandy adapter things. its really simple! definitely the best. i dont go much on off road terrains, but its always seemed very reliable to me and i don't see why it would have any issues.

I love my Uppababy Vista (2015 model), it has been coping well on a number of different terrains this week while on holiday (mud, sand, stones) and is easy to manoeuvre (think one handed with an ice cream in the other hand!). My DS (14 weeks) has outgrown the cot and is now in the chair with the infant insert, which he much prefers as he can now see the world. It also comes with a lot of accessories included in the price, e.g. car seat adaptors, rain covers (whereas with some you have go pay extra for these) and has a really big basket. The only thing is it is a bit of a beast when folded and so takes up half of the boot! Can't comment on the dual-ability of it yet as only have one DC!

Bugaboo Buffalo. That is heavy duty off roading with dual passaenger capability.

I also have the uppababy vista and agree with what daffodil says, only I have tried the two seater version (with my 2yo nephew and my 2 month old baby and its fab. Easy to switch between 1 and 2 seats, still light and maneouvrable etc. However, I dont find it great off-road, it has large wheels but no suspension. Then again, do any prams actually have suspension? Worth a look OP.
