I have a SN pushchair (Special Tomato Jogger).

I need to find a travel bag for it. It is large when folded, and not brilliantly secure. It would be better off in a bag for airline transport, imo.

I can't find anything at all suitable. The only thing I did find was the Joggster travel bag, but I can't find that in stock anywhere. I need the bag by the weekend (yes, I know, but I have been searching, and had ordered the Joggster bag, only to find out today it is out of stck!)

Is there anything else which would do? I only need a holdall type bag, to keep all straps etc together, and keep the worst of the dirt off.

The dimensions I need are:

33x21x16 inches (manufactures measurements, I think realistically more like 35x25x20 to be sure, as it doesn't fold all the well). That's about 89x60x50cm (approx).

Help, please! I just want a soft, nylon type coverbag, nothing fancy.

We have a large travel bag for a car seat that might be that sort of size. Big and strong nylon. Easily fitted an infant carrier and various I other bits we stuck in. Came from Amazon so might be worth a look at them.

Is this just for checking into the hold? All airlines I've been with give or sell you a very large thick plastic bag and a cable tie so all the straps etc are safe and held in.
I've fitted a single travel system including car seat in to one. Also the double mountain buggy fitted (separate to the travel system of course).

A cycle transport/storage bag may be suitable?

A travel bag for an electric piano might work...?

I don't thin the airline would have a bag to fit. They struggled hugely finding a bag to fit our old oyster, and the jogger is bigger.

I have looked at car seat travel bags, and they generally fit for 2 of the dimensions (in fact are bigger) but not the third, so it would depend on whether the bag would flex enough, iyswim. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. We need the pushchair up to the gate, and it goes in the hold from there, so need something quick and easy to pack it into.

Hadn't thought of cycle bags or electric piano bags (is here such a thing? I suppose there must be). I suspect cycle bags won't be deep enough, as the pushchair is bulky when folded.

I tried bike bags, but as I thought the width was the problem. Same for electric piano bags too.

I meandered through sports equipment holdalls (you know, for loads of footballs or similar) but was unconvinced due to the solid base and wheels (ideally I'd like to be able to fold up and shove under the buggy for convenience.

Just to warn you (this has happened to us) - if you put the pushchair inside an opaque bag at the gate, the transfer labels will be on the pushchair and not on the bag. So bag might get lost. That's why they use clear bags at gates (and they are pretty big). When you are checking your bags in, I would tell them that you want to put the pushchair inside another bag at the gate. They can either label up the bag or ensure Jay pushchair fits inside clear bag.

Yes, thanks. We always get the bag labelled at check in, as well as the pushchair. I think we got stuck with that when dd1 was small, and it was a nightmare - pram got put in bag, but on arrival, bag was sent to some random corner of the airport as it was unlabelled... We were waiting for it at outsize luggage (where we were assured it would be), and only got it back because we noticed the bag just lying abandoned on the floor!

I'm fairly sure the bags airlines have won't fit. Last time we tried there was no way, and that was with a (bulky but) standard size pushchair. They insisted on trying at check in, and we caused a huge queue! (Lots of fun with ASD dd1 having a meltdown as well )

When we got to the gate, and tried to apologise for lack of bag, the stewardess told us not to worry - our pushchair would never fit in one anyway - she'd clearly seen a lot of different pushchairs, as she was more than aware of the pitfalls of picking up a folded (ancient) Oyster (easy to spring open if you handle it wrong!)
