nicest to push on all kinds of terrain?

I'm thinking of looking for a pushchair just to use for long walks with 8 month old dd as I'm completely fed up with my old & creaky oyster.

My main criteria is all about the push. I'd love to find something that really pushes nicely, feels light, tips up kerbs easily, has good suspension with a bit of bounce, large wheels & preferably air/rubber tyres so it will cope with pavements, gravel, bumpy grass, forest trails & sand/snow.

Parent facing option is a must.

Weight/size doesn't matter so much, as it will be left up at home & isn't for the car.

A decent sized shopping basket would be a bonus, as would a roomy seat.

Any suggestions welcomed!

Tell me what has been your absolute favourite pram/pushchair to push?

Mine was a Bob which we used from being a tiny baby until a chair was no longer needed - goes over anything, serious wheels, serious suspension/construction. We wore the tyres out more than once we walked so much.

But I don't think they make anything with a parent facing option - or they didn't used to anyway.

I have just got an out n about nipper and it is a dream to push, seems like it can handle anything so far, even the beach. I compromised on parent facing as I just couldn't find anything that fit all my other requirements. The nipper doesn't feel like a compromise, I can look at my dd through the viewing window in the hood and she is quite happy chatting away to the dog/passers by on walks anyway.

Baby jogger versa GT I wouldn't say it is 'bouncey' but meets your other criteria pretty well.

I was about to say versa gt, I find it pretty bouncy and it's nice to push - doesn't tip up kerbs super easily though (sometimes needs a foot on the back bar). Does parent face though x

I'm another one for the out n about I have the double, currently saving for the single for dd now ds is bigger. Honestly think I've posted about it so many times haha.

thanks all. we have a forward facing 3 wheeler already which is great to push but she slumps in the seat (freedom harness) so no good til she's a fair bit older. I'd also really like to keep parent facing whilst she is learning to talk so the nipper & bob are unfortunately out. I do like the versa & it does have bounce but I've heard the GT doesn't have the same suspension - is that right?

I have a Jane slalom, it is fantastic and fits your requirements exactly. I have 3 children and have gone through about 9 buggies!! This is the best for walking over any terrain, we have a woods behind our house and walk there daily. you can even push with one finger over 3 foot high grass!! The only negative about it is it is very big to fit into car but if keeping at home-not an issue!

We have the Jane trider which I think is a newer design based on the slalom. I've never been on the beach but it certainly handles everything else beautifully. Not the biggest of baskets but depends on how much of an issue that is for you. It's a dream to push even with a 2 stone 1 year old in it currently! Not air tyres which is better in my book as no punctures. Really good turning on it as well when we're using it around the shops too.

Best thing I have had That meets your criteria was a brio smile. It was imported from Sweden though. The britax smile is similar. I would consider a bug cam with snow/terrain wheels on too.

Although very good the versa gt isn't light or bouncy to use imo. I'd have some vague optimism about the Jane epic but I haven't seen one since the prototype about 3 years ago.

Again I haven't had much of a go but I thought the casualplay kudu 3 looked good when I saw it briefly.
