Hi,
I'm looking for the best way to find an affordable pushchair in London for a 1y/o.
I looked at Gumtree but have some thoughts regarding safety and trust...
tip or advice?
thanks!

I'm afraid buying cheap second hand means you have to go s s collect it. If your nervous then take someone with you, or talk on the phone. If it's just a single bloke there could ask to see it on the doorstep rather than go in. But very unlikely someone selling pushchair just to lure a woman in!

If it's any help, I just bought a zeta voooom on amazon brand new for £60, and it's great. It's a standard umbrella fold buggy. Just as good as a maclaren Imo.

We bought ours off eBay. Fabulous if you're looking for something specific because they come with all the extras. You do have to collect though.

buying second hand on ebay, the cost of shipping is deterring.are there any local options besides Gumtree?

Can you join a Facebook selling page for your local area?

DeathMetalMum · 02/06/2015 20:10

Facebook, pre loved or an nct nearly new sale but ours are only every 6 months so possible you may have missed one. Charity shops also have pushchairs occasionally. In my nearest bigger city there is a charity shop just for children which always has around 10 pushcairs or prams in.

Local Facebook selling page - search Facebook for your area and the word selling and/or parents and join a few. All done on trust though.

is there a thread here with this issue?
someone must have dealt with this problem before and i don't want to bother with duplicates.
