First time mum, what to buy?

Wondered if I list my criteria if people could help, I'm getting sucked into brands and want some actual real life experience?

Having one baby in November, not sure of sex so neutral black/ navy blue or likewise colour.

Needs to be made for a 1-2 mile walk per day.
Needs to be able to go in small car boot. (Yaris)
Needs to be able to go on the bus, although all our bus' never have people in the pushchair bit so Im not too worried about easy fold.
Has to get up about 5 steps to get into our house.
Has to look lovely :D

Any help?!

Babyzen yoyo 0+. 2 miles is only a short walk so no need for hiking buggy. Folds tiny for car and on bus where needed and can pick up the 5 steps as so light. Parent faces in newborn mode.

See I'd never even heard of that pram, just icandy and bugaboo, so thank you I will have a look! :)

The yoyo is great, on all your other criteria apart from walking two miles a day I'd be totally on board. Unless you walk on very flat pavement all the time then I think I would at least have a look at a few slightly bigger but more robust pushchairs, the easywalker mini or mosey for example.

I don't know if the newer one is the same but the previous model of the yaris had a narrow and fairly shallow boot, I struggled to fit most pushchairs in without removing the either parcel shelf or wheels. The bugaboo bee fitted, an Icandy raspberry probably would have, the maxi cosi loola 2, stuff that folds in a narrow square or a slightly longer rectangular shape. I had a max measurement of 50cm wide in mine, which was very limiting. The newer yaris may be larger though.

It doesn't parent face but I would definitely have considered the baby jogger zip too for the yaris boot and/or bus situation.

Silver cross was my choice.
I wanted my baby to see me so, especially as they grow and you can chat inanely:) as they get older it converted to a buggy then I got a mclaren as well.
Flat, for their back and for handy nappy changes.the silver cross went round the world, fitted everywhere and looked funky. Plus it was stable. Light prams and pram bags don't mix. You'll always hang stuff on the buggy. The silver cross had a massive under basket, awesome for shopping.
Lasted through 2 babies too:)

Ihate- 2 miles is only about 30 min walk though? That's just a casual stroll to local shops and back surely? 10 miles plus I would consider bigger wheel maybe but 2 miles is very little use. It's 1.5 miles just to take kids to school, so 6 miles just to school and back x2 for me. That's without walking anywhere tbh.

For now I really like the look of the silver cross, and the easy walker.

I should also of added I would like a travel system to clip the Car Seat into, and we live in England if that makes any difference.

Armadillo Flip XT has a really compact fold. I don't know what it's like to own as DC 1 isn't yet born but the basket looks huge! Also takes a range of different car seats.

I love my mamas and papas sola. Very light, can parent face. So have a look at it too :)

When they are tiny baby carriers are really useful too. I had a close caboo for DS3 and it was lovely. Easy to get on and off buses.

Lies flat so can use from newborn - I never bought the bassinet bit
Adapters for car seat available
Folds quite small - I have a wee car as well
It's an easy fold as well

If I bought again, I'd have an Armadillo Flip XT.
Love my Urbo 2, but it's a faffy fold, and the Armadillo is one-handed.
Check the dimensions of the Silver Cross for your boot; they're notoriously bulky.
I also love my secondhand City Mini, really worth a buy as a second pram if you find one cheap enough.

I've been in the pram market for 10.5 years since my oldest was born and my SIL reminded me that I've probably now got maximum of a year or so before DC3 is old enough to drop the pram and I will lose it forever.............hooray!

SO, I've owned and observed many many many different prams. I have absolutely loved my MB Swift - with the separate carry cot to start with. However it's not really small enough for a small boot, despite being light and easy to fold. I have a 7 seater car and can only use 6 seats with the MB in the car so I kind of wish I had a city mini jogger - it pretty much ticks most of the boxes of the swift but folds very small and is still light and easy to fold (I haven't actually owned one though so not sure that it is sturdy enough for daily use from birth) - definitely worth considering I think.

My only criticism of the Swift and any other not all terrain buggy is that it won't push over the sand on the beach.... Worth considering if you live near the coast.

Not so much the distance I was thinking of Art as the surface. If it's smooth then great, a yoyo could truly be the only pram you ever need. If not quite so smooth then I would consider something a bit bigger and more robust. The easywalkers are a nice compromise on size and weight plus offer the parent facing beyond lie flat newborn stage. If I was starting again I would probably own both

I second (or is it third?) the Yoyo recommendation - we've had one since DS was born and it's been fine for walks and public transport too. I never know why people get the big tank-like prams if they mainly use public transport anyway! It isn't great for walks over rough terrain so we bought a cheap Out and About Nipper for that, but for day to day city life it's fab. I think Babyzen do a three-wheeled one now too but that's quite pricey, around the £800 mark.

Oh, and it's a one handed fold, which is useful if you need to fold it while holding the baby.

I second the M&P Sola. Fits into our small boot no problem and you can buy the car seat with it. Very light (we live in 2nd floor flat!) and buggy can be parent or world facing. Also very easy to manoeuvre. Not to expensive either. I think we paid less than £300 for the whole travel system (carrycot, wheels, buggy, car seat).

I have the silver cross pioneer OP which is very similar to the wayfarer and I'd be careful. I love the pioneer and copes well with long walks, looks good etc. but we have a qashqai and it takes up a fair bit of the boot, not sure it would fit in yaris.

Bugaboo cameleon, you just can't beat it in terms of quality and durability, style wise i love the orbit baby g3 - seriously cool!

or even a bugaboo bee.

Bare in mind September is when most brands release new products or changes ie could be the same pram but not one piece fold or larger canopy etc. So if your due November it's probably worth waiting to see if any have changes you might like.
