Flying with a Bugaboo Bee

Hello - does anyone know if you can take a Bugaboo Bee as carry-on luggage on flights? If so, do I need to package it up or anything?

I've seen proper travel bags for them but they are super expensive so if anyone knows of a cheaper non-brand alternative, let me know!

You've read my mind here. I called my air line today about this and they said they weigh too much to go in the cabin but we can take them right to the gate and they put them in the hold for us as we board. Hope this helps x
