Armadillo Flip XT: opinions, thoughts on lack of bumper bar

Okay, clueless first-timer here.

I think DH and I have decided on the armadillo flip xt as our from birth pram/pushchair because it's not quite so hellishly expensive as some we've seen and it (very nearly with a wheel off) fits in my Fiat 500 (don't believe the advert, it doesn't fit without the wheel off grrr!)

But I've just read that some prams have bumper bars. Who knew. And the flip xt is sans bumper bar. Is this an issue? Does one actually need a bumper bar?!

Also any opinions on the flip xt most welcome!

the only thing bumper bars are good for is hanging toys on you can buy clip on toy bars in mother care that work the same as a bumper bar

Imo you don't "need" one but dc often love to hold onto them. None of mine have been bothered per se but have always used them to grab onto if there has been one. Does the easywalker mosey fit in your car with all the wheels on? I feel like it might..

Hmm, I'm not if it fits ihateparties. Going to pop into M&P on Saturday so will have a play. I've not seen that one in flesh, do you recommend it?

Not unreservedly as I haven't seen one either but I'm hearing loads of good stuff and based upon previous easywalker products.

The Mosey is still quite long folded as the handle sticks out past the folded frame. I had a look at the Flip XT and liked it, it looks like a full sized pushchair but has a nice small fold. I was surprised by how heavy both the flip and Mosey are though, I wouldn't like to have to lift either (thinking of London tubes though so may not be important!)
