Strawberry or Strawberry 2

I thought I had decided on the Baby Jogger Versa but have read a few things that have made me change my mind (weight, length).

Having looked at some YouTube videos, the Strawberry 2 looks brilliant (although a similar weight I think).

However, we don't have masses of cash to spend and DH would prefer we went second hand (though I would rather new).

Does anyone have experience of either pram? Would I regret going for the Strawberry instead of the extra for the Strawberry 2?

I should say that we have the BJCM GT and would probably start using this from a year to 18 months. It's such a good pram but I want DC2 to be parent facing for at least the first year.

Isn't the Strawberry 2 actually cheaper? The bundle for chassis, carrycot, pushchair seat and flavour pack is £550 (we got it for £510) whereas the Strawberry costs £450 alone for the chassis and pushchair, plus extra for flavour pack and carrycot.

There are a few stylistic differences (I actually prefer the new model, it looks less 'flashy'). Apart from that I couldn't really tell the difference.

The new one would be £550 and a second hand one with all the bits would be £350.

You can still buy the first one new but as you say, it's more expensive. Seems daft!

I prefer the new model as well, it seems less narrow, think it's the lack of a chrome surround on hood. DH likes it too so we may end up with it.

I reckon that by the time we come to sell it, other Strawberry 2s will be on the second hand market and therefore a 1 will be harder to sell... I'll keep telling myself that

Seeing as you already plan to start using the BJCM at one year I am not convinced that I would go new for the Strawberry 2. £550 is a lot for something you will use for 12 months! I actually wanted to just get the BJCM with carrycot but DH is all about the travel system

I def want something that's parent facing so would need to be more than just the carrycot on BJCM but am starting to think the same way about the Strawberry.
