Difference between Oyster Max 1 and 2?

Does anyone know if there is any significant difference between the Oyster Max 1 and 2? I can't really see any other than the colours but want to be sure before buying.

Hi silversixpence! This is my first post on mumsnet, I am expecting a baby end of December/early January, and my eldest will be 11 months or just 1, so need a double pram... I was just curious as to whether you found out what the differences are? Or if you did end up getting on or the other, are you happy with it? I've been wondering the same but can't seem to find anything online, and this does seem to be the pram I am leaning towards getting... Any info would be great if you have it! It's been so stressful trying to decide Grin x

I think the second seat on the 2 reclines fully so is also suitable from birth. Don't know if there's anything else.

Thank you, I am wondering if the second seat that can now recline would fit on the oyster max? I haven't read anywhere that they are different sizes/widths...

I've got the oyster max (I assume the older one!) and I love it!
The only downside is now ds is in the proper seat, 13mo, on top. If I have him facing me, and 2.9yo dd is sat in the bottom seat ds will kick her in the face..... I have to have ds facing out :( I can't swap them over because dd is too heavy at the front :/

Fraggleyourock · 23/09/2015 23:33

I have heard that it can be difficult to push with the heavier child on top, but I would imagine that's the case with most tandems... I was looking at getting a side-by-side, but I live in a little town and the pavements are so narrow it just isn't practical! Shame you can't have your ds facing you, although I imagine he doesn't mind seeing what's going on! Is dd happy in the lower seat? I worry about visibility and leg room Confused

Sorry to bump! I have now ordered my oyster max! Just want to ask again about how happy older children are in the lower seat? Ds will only be about 12 months anyway, but he is a nosey little chap! And is leg room an issue? Also, where do you put the changing bag? Thanks for any responses! X

I put he newborn in the carry cot in the bottom and then the older facing me. My 2yo still rear faces as her legs don't really dangle, alough I do have the risers which make her a bit higher.

Both the 2yo and 3yo are happy in both seats but normally I would put the older in the bottom as she is in and out more and doesn't need strapping in down there

Thank you poocatcherchampion! I am really looking forward to it arriving so I can have a play around with it! I just hope I'm happy with it, did a lot of research before finally deciding on this pram, so there's a lot of pressure hehe.
