Are buggy boards worth the bother?

Just wondering whether you found a buggy board to be worthwhile. Did your toddler use it frequently, or was it just an expensive and heavy decorative piece?

Would like to get one for 2.5 year old as we need to walk along a very busy road and I want to have him somewhat contained. Am I likely to use it long enough to warrant buying it or will toddler be likely to resist?

DS was 2.6 when his sister was born and we did lots of walking. (Only had one car that dh used to get to work). Our buggy board was worth every penny. He loved it, although he was a good walker. He thought it was a skateboard!

Mine has revolutionised my life. My toddler refuses to go in a buggy (he's 2.4) so double pushchair was out. He loves up walk but gets distracted stopping and looking at every little detail on a walk. He's also a bolter so needs to be kept on reins. with the buggy board he'll hop on and off it the but when he's on we can make a lot of headway due to being able to push faster! I'd honestly recommend one. Smile

DS1 was just over 2 when DS2 was born and I couldn't have done without ours. I didn't want to have to negotiate a double so thought a buggy board would be a good alternative. I highly recommend it

Thanks for the feedback. Might give it a try.
