...is the Bugaboo Donkey the only one?

I'm expecting DC#2, 23 month gap, prefer to use a bassinet and be parent facing DC is little. Not keen on tandems.

Mountain Buggy Duet with Carrycot Plus

I was looking at stroll air my duo when I was expecting twins. I think it's an Australian brand but supposed to be available in uk now.

Not much help, but I really like our Donkey (have a 20m age gap). It's super easy to handle and you could push it with one finger (even with my two huge children on).

I will say I'd hate to have a small car boot though, bloody thing takes acres of space.

Mountain buggy duo bugaboo donkeys are huge and dont fit through doors or on public transport from what ive seen in public

Ihateparties · 19/02/2015 18:47

It's more or less the only one that fits through a standard door. The donkey and the stroll air, which I guess you can still get but didn't seem to really take off. You can put a bassinet on lots of forward facing doubles such as the mountain buggies.

There is stuff like the obaby zezu twin, the first wheels city twin, several unbranded things off ebay and Amazon but they are all 80cm plus wide, a standard door I think is 76.5cm or thereabouts.

Another one who loves the Donkey here! Plenty available 2nd hand if price is putting you off. Plus you can get a buggy board and use it as a single for short trips or times when you need to be narrower!

Thanks very much everyone CakeCakeCake

I don't think the Mountain Buggy Duet can be parent facing but I'll check again and will look at the others you suggested MrsRuby and Ihateparties. I've tried the Donkey and it does feel great but I'd love some other options.

I've checked and I'm totally wrong - the Mountain Buggy Duet does parent face with the Carrycot Plus. Thanks AprilShowers and nature!

The baby jogger city mini can be parent facing with the compact carrycots? And then a forward facing double pushchair. Don't know if this helps.

We're going for the mountain buggy duet and carrycot plus. We live in an area with narrow pavements/old buildings with narrow doorways and the Donkey, although lovely, is just too wide.
