Which double pushchair for a tall 3yr old and baby?

Hi, expecting dc2 in the spring and my ds will be just 3. He is 16kg and 98cm tall but has some physical issues that means he will need to be in a pushchair unless a very short journey.

Have considered a sling but would like both options.

Tried mini city jogger and bugaboo donkey so far. Donkey he is too big for and mini city he is almost too tall for already.

Does anyone have any other recommendations? ( shops do not seem to sell many doubles so have to travel quite a bit to try them!)

If you feel he's too tall for the city mini I think you might encounter problems. Ds was exactly 98cm @ 2y5m when dd1 was born, we had a city mini and he seemed to have lots of space. Basically it's one of the bigger seated options with lots of head height. The gt version would be easier to push but is more expensive.

A second hand mountain buggy duo could work for you, they don't make new ones anymore, the replacement model, the duet is much smaller.

The nipper is good to push too but I'm not sure of seat size, it can be a bit subjective, you may need to adjust the amount of space you are expecting to see above his head for example.

Have today tried iCandy peach blossom ( fits for now), mountain buggy duet ( really liked - good leg room but not on head room) and bugaboo donkey.

Mini city is best for headroom.

I would try the nipper 360 double, it's side by side but narrow. My dd is just 4 and talk and still goes in ours occasionally and fine height wise, she is over 115cm?

The duo sounds a good idea as we really liked the Duet - but ds's head was already at the top of the seat and cover.

I need to find a stockist of nipper next I think. Useful info thanks.

What about the Uppababy Vista? The seats were big when I went to see it!

I'm having a similar issue, my 2yo was too tall for the babyjogger city double now and he's only going to get taller when the new baby arrives in the spring. At the moment he fits with plenty of room in the Maclaren XT stroller (which I despise), so we're leaning towards the double as I know he'll fit. He was too tall for the bugaboo donkey but I'm going to have a look at some of the suggestions on here too. I find the Maclaren single really clunky and awkward to push so I don't think it's the best option but it is if you're having trouble finding a double for a tall toddler.

Have you looked at the Orchard... I am a child minder and like the fact it has 2 full size seats but beacuse they are not side by side no space issues...I love it...Negatives not great on snow and not much storage room when both in...The seats are much easier to remove than the i candy

phil & teds? DS is fairly tall and was in it until he was 4.5.

JL here had everything but the nipper - frustratingly!

I had an Easywalker duo which had nice big seats. I really wouldn't recommend a MacLaren with that weight differential.
