Recommendations for a double needed!!

Hi, I have a 10month old who is a big boy - he's v.tall & 24lbs already. My baby girl is 5 days old now & I'll be using our single for dc1 and carrying dc2 for a little while until she's too big. After that I need a double - I don't drive so it would need bus suitable & preferably not with dc1 underneath as he loves to look out and interact with people. I walk a lot in town & the pavements are rubbish. Could anyone please recommend one, there's so many choices I'm baffled! Thanks!

We've got the mountain buggy duet, think it's great, but like all doubles they weigh a tonne! It's only as wide as a wheelchair so not monster-big either.

The Bugaboo Donkey is probably the best one out there, and it can be converted to a single if you needed it to. It's light and narrow enough to get through normal doorways, they are expensive but since your oldest is just 10 months it sounds like you'd get the use out of it.

I have a donkey and LOVE it however if you need to get on buses I wouldn't get the donkey. I couldn't fit onto the bus with my donkey and collapsing it is a faff with two kids in tow. So I got the city mini double. It folds so quickly and easily it's a fab buggy for day to day.

My friend had a Donkey but also couldn't get it on the bus and really struggled on the tube, eventually she settled on ICandy Peach to make getting on and off of public transport easier.

Buddy, sorry for hijack but can you get on buses ok with the baby jogger double? I've got the single now but pregnant and wondering whether the double is too wide for getting on buses!

Baby jogger city select, it's a great tandem that covers everything, also won't have the one at the back underneath problem that I really don't like. Also can be used as a single.

Following this thread. Also looking at double buggies. Anyone have experience of 360 nipper? Been recommended by several people? Really love donkey but not the price tag even second hand!

Ive just been reading reviews of the 360- first says nightmare to fold, second says easy to fold!

I can't justify spending on the Donkey since DD is 2 and already tells me "no thanks, walk now" when I strap her in!

I am looking at selling my cameleon to pay for second hand donkey. My son is also happy to walk mostly and wants to get out of pram a lot which is fine to park and back but I want him strapped in when in shops for my own sanity!

Plus figure new baby won't want to walk for couple of years Atleast so will have two years use out of it as single buggy when ds walks everywhere and is more trusted in shops , by busy rds.

Hmm maybe I'll look at the donkey again. I definitely want a side by side and the fact it can be a single is handy...my head's spinning with which/what etc. need to stop looking at pushchairs, I'm starting to consider real donkeys or a big dog!

If you're happy with tandem if dc1 can sit above then something like the Jane twone? It's really easy to swap back to a normal single buggy as well when you want to.

Following, I am due DC3 and have a baby jogger city mini double I use currently. Looking at changing for a bugaboo donkey or the city select. I did have an oyster max but felt baby sat in basket unable to see was pretty rubbish.
Want to change from the city mini as want baby facing me. There will be a 14 month age gap and my eldest will be 2.5 so needs to work for all 3 as will sometimes have baby in sling and eldest in pram.
