Uppababy handlebar grip split - any ideas of how I can repair it?

My Uppababy Cruz's handlebar foam grip thingy has split. It's under warranty for repair in the UK where I bought it, but as I don't live there, I have to pay to ship it there and back which will probably cost as much as the pushchair itself.

Anyone have any tips of how I can repair it myself? I've thought about taping it?

Thanks in advance.

Would you be able to use something like this?

Thanks velvet but that probably won't work - there is a press in the middle of the handlebar to adjust its height so there are two foam grips, they go either side of the press. Unless I cut it? Thanks, will look into it.

Ooh great, thanks Velvet. That could be just the ticket! Thanks again Smile
