Best parent-facing pushchair?

I'm looking for a smaller and more lightweight parent-facing pushchair than what I've currently got - a slightly battered iCandy Cherry. I do like it but it's a bit bulky and also only folds into two pieces. Ideally I'd like a Bugaboo but finding it hard to find the right second-hand one (I refuse to pay for new!). But does anyone have any other recommendations for the best parent-facing pushchairs? I'd like one that'll work now for my 7 month old and well into todder-dom. Many thanks!

Have you seen the new icandy raspberry? I got one recently, it's parent facing and really light, plus you can use it from birth so you don't have to but a carry cot.

Thanks JenSmith - it looks really lovely I must say. Not sure I can stretch to it though price-wise and they haven't been around long enough for second hand ones to be available. Just been looking on some other threads and getting some other ideas too so will keep looking ...

Are you on your first DC? I have a bugaboo and I would absolutely swear by it. It has been going solid for 4 1/2 years now, seen 2 DCs, sand, mud, shopping, throwing in the car, toddler boards, total abuse basically.

Whilst I've seen friends go through several prams and buggies I have only ever had my bugaboo and never had a single problem with it.

I pushed my friends baby in a modern silvercross once and couldn't believe how heavy and cumbersome it was.

I can push my bugaboo around John Lewis one handed with a 2yo sitting and a 4yo on the buggy board. I'm not exaggerating!!

I only say this because although expensive, I've spent less on my bugaboo than others have done on their multiple buggies. They are worth the money. (If you've got it, obviously).

Stokke xplory used it from birth til 2.5 never used anything else.

She's my third, cookiemonster! Kind of wish I'd had a Bugaboo from the start but we had to have a double buggy so had a Phil and Teds which was brilliant but of course not useful now. Not sure I can justify spending lots on a buggy when this is prob my last DC ... although if I get a second hand one it doesn't need to cost the earth and will also presumably last her well into toddlerhood. Can I ask which Bugaboo you have?

When DC2 came along my poor little DD got relegated to the buggy board at 20mths.

I really, REALLY wanted the donkey when it came out but by then DD was 3 and DH was having none of it.

Can you travel for a 2nd hand one? Or do you need one local?

Babystyle Oyster? Mine was secondhand and has taken absolute pounding! Narrow enough for london buses but big enough for dd (22 months) to still nap in it. Not sure the fold is much smaller but we've a super skinny maclaren for the car (freebie) -we use public transport more than the car though.
