Tell me the Mothercare Orb is a pile of crap, please!

I have no actual need for a new pushchair, however had an amble around Mothercare today at 37 weeks pregnant and have fallen in love with the Orb - especially in the navy.

The Maclaren XLR we had for dd is still going strong and was perfect for us three years ago so I do not need it, however I neeeeeed it. Please tell me it is awful.

However wonderful a Mothercare pushchair may seem, their customer service is absolutely appalling. If you have a problem with the pushchair they will send it away to be repaired and give you a loan pushchair (not the same model necessarily) until yours comes back. They will not give you a replacement or a refund. Please note that if they can't fix the problem or it recurs you could be sending it back time and time again over many months and therefore never actually have your pushchair for that time.

A friend has this, and I don't think the seat unit is very good at all once you have passed he carrycot stage and converted it to the pushchair. The seat is very shallow, my friend's DD (just over 18 months, and average size) looks like the crotch strap is digging into her all the time as she can't sit far enough back away from it. Also the seat doesn't seem to go truely upright, her DD is always pulling herself up on the bumper bar because even in what is supposed to be the upright position the seat is ever so slightly tipped back.

Will that do?! I suppose I should say that my friend has never commented on these points, and still uses the pram every day. The chassis did break a couple of months back, but Mothercare did send it off for repair. They didn't give her a replacement to use in the meantime, but she dug out an old pram from her older daughter so maybe she just told Mothercare she didn't need a 'courtesy pram', rather than it being Mothercare who didn't provide one.

The sheepskin blue editon with the brown handle looks naice though i saw it in the window in town and wanted to climb in it its sooo fluffy thats why they did it to reel people in with pretty designs and accessories

I had a Mothercare Spin and it really wasn't very good.

I agree, this model is gorgeous!!! I wish that I had seen it before I purchased the black version!, but don't think it was available at the time! I really like mine, the only slight issue that I have with it, is when the carrycot is clipped into the chassis, it moves/rocks a little, & my Baby has ended up at the end when I have been walking on uneven ground. I rang Mothercare, & they said that it does rock a little! The problem that I have is that my local store closed, & to take it back would be nearly 100 miles for me!! I have read some shocking stories also about the customer service. Having said all this, if I had the cash, I would purchase the navy version too!!!!!!

I'm totally in love with this pram the special edition navy and after being devastated to find out it wasn't coming back into stock found a great condition second hand one ????

I absolutely love it but I'm just giving it a good clean and I'm not sure if I can wash the cosytoes? Does anyone know? Most bits have labels that say but the top bit with the sheepskin bit has nothing an I don't want to ruin it if anyone has any advice that would be great
