icandy Raspberry - reviews please

Just wondering if anyone has the icandy raspberry and is able to give a little feedback on it please? Initial reviews look great but wondering what it was like in the flesh. Some reports of rattling storage box and stretching hood fabric on the JL website.

Many thanks

We tried the raspberry in the shop when we were trialling some out and I have to say I wasn't keen. The fold mechanism is very annoying (have to forcefully push the handle into the chassis of the pushchair to trigger it to fold) and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get it to work, neither could my DH without difficulty. I felt that it was just a disaster waiting to happen and that we'd break the handle within a few days, so that ruled it out for us completely. We settled for the m&p urbo2 in the end which is of a similar design, as smooth to push, and just as light (suitable from birth too just like the raspberry), with a much easier fold mechanism.

That's really helpful, thanks

Tiggywinkle, I see you've reviewed on best buggy. Do you have one or anything to add?

easywalker mosey.

I've only looked at the raspberry on the shop floor and I didn't really much like it.

Tiggywunkle · 24/09/2014 15:40

I haven't had a Raspberry yet sobs

But I will join Parties (but shouting loudly) to go and look at the Easywalker Mosey. It is superb and deserves a proper look. No niggles....simply perfection!

Thanks Tiggy and Parties, will look at the easy walker mosey.

But why have you not had a raspberry yet please Tiggy?

Thanks

I haven't had a Raspberry yet so that I can try out a modified one.

DevonLulu · 27/09/2014 08:25

Ooh! What are they modifying and when is it out please?

There is a new non rattly storage pod and I know a couple of other bits are changing too.

JenSmith1508 · 29/09/2014 20:23

I've just bought a raspberry in black with a red hood (called lush), looks great! Really happy with the way it moves and it's so light, the storage box doesn't make too much noise when DD is in it. I understand what Fraggle31 is saying about the fold but there's a knack to it, can do it really quickly now. Can't recommend it highly enough!

BeyondTheSea · 30/09/2014 16:41

Interesting, just about to order - is it worth waiting for the non rattly storage pod?

JenSmith1508 · 30/09/2014 19:29

You could do, mine really isn't that bad (although I keep my raincover in it so it's muffled), john lewis told me they're easy to change anyway Smile

DevonLulu · 02/10/2014 14:46

do we know when the modified model will be available to buy?
thanks
