Kiddicare Trix anyone?

I'm on the lookout for an occasional use, VERY light stroller with ideally a recline (see my other thread)

The options are maclaren volo (3.5kg but no recline), maclaren globetrotter (reclines, but 5kg with hood) and this Trix option.

On paper the Trix looks like a great middle ground - it has the recline and is only 4.3 kg so a fair bit lighter than the Globetrotter - also quite a bit cheaper! However there aren't many reviews of it so just wondering if anyone has it. I can't quite believe it's that light AND has a recline, there must be a catch...

Anyone?

While we're here I just saw the mark II, it's completely ideal for what you want. I know it doesn't recline but it's so extremely portable (and it was next to a yoyo) and the hammocky seat looks really comfortable. Fold v easy, auto lock. I could be tempted and I couldn't be less of a stroller person if I tried.

Funny I've just been looking at the (great) reviews of the Mark II parties!

Globetrotter was winning (for the recline) but just been reading some not great reviews... seems the back is short (my DD is tall) and the upright position is not very upright (she will hate that) whereas mark II is better on both counts. And sounds like it's fab in all other respects too.

It's just the damn recline! The whole idea of this buggy is so that we can do longer trips around london/out of london using trains and tubes, where the buggy would need to be carried up and down steps. But if it's for longer day trips then she needs to be able to nap (she is 21 months), if only for 30-40 mins. I just don't know if she could nap fully upright and it's not the kind of thing you can test in a shop.

If you can see one locally I think it would be worth trying her in one at least. It's the kind of thing you would probably use on and off for a couple of years plus again if you have more dcs. I know what you mean about whole day trips (except I kind of don't because I don't have pushchair sleepers so if we're out all day they're awake all day, recline or no recline) but for portability it will be hard to beat, so easy to just fling around with one hand.

I can see the Volo and Globetrotter locally (so I guess I could at least check out if the non-uprightness is an issue) - for the Mark ii I'd have to go a bit further, though not too far. Guess that's the next step.

I reckon if she's tired enough she'd probably sleep upright so the mark ii would be ok

My 10mo DS naps in his Mark II no problem, as it's almost like a hammock it looks quite comfortable
