Has anyone tried dying faded dry-clean-only buggy seats?

We have some very sun faded Jane Twin Two buggy seats. Unfortunately they are dry clean only and I suspect that the base of the seat is made up of a wooden panel. Has anyone tried dying seats like these? How did you get on and what product did you use?

I think for domestic use dyes like Dylon, you can only dye natural fibres like cotton. Presume the buggy seats are nylon or similar? So I don't think it'd work...
