Apple carrycot?

In expecting DC2 at in January. I have a relative who has an icandy apple that they've kindly said we can have. It's a chassis and seat so we'd need to buy a car seat. I'm wondering if we need a carrycot too, I drive most places but I would like to walk DS1 (5) to school and back while on maternity leave so advice needed.
Carry cot worth the money (2nd hand from eBay) or probably never use it?

I had one and used it a fair amount-useful indoors as a second Moses basket too.
In fact I still have it in the loft if you want to buy it off me instead of eBay!

That's good to know, I hadn't thought about the sleeping downstairs option if I can keep the sodding cats out of it
That would be great, how much would you be hoping to sell it for and where in the uk are you?

I used mine as a daytime Moses basket too. It's quite heavy for a carrycot but DD slept well in it and seemed very comfortable.
