OK budget has now gone up too £700 max so options are
Uppababy Vista
Britax B dual
Babystyle oyster limited edition
i want something that ideally has a seat like the vista with the cool footrest that goes all the way back and its high up too
i'm only 4"11 OH is 5''7 so need something with long/shot handles
also will be going on trains/buses from time to time so need something that will go on easily without barging into people etc
any other i have missed ??

also would like a vista package without the maxi cosi but with the footmuff if anyone has seen any ? plan on having an in car seat from birth to 4 yrs so maxi cosi is useless to me

Are you looking at the b dual for the second seat capability? The oyster max could also go on your list alongside that and the regular oyster (the oyster 2 has a far superior seat so definitely get that not an original if that's the direction you take).

I don't know what else has the fully fold back footrest like the vista. If you're okay with the size/width then the vista is hard to beat really. The b dual is very similar but the seat unit is worse imo.

Have you looked at a bj versa?

MILfreetoagoodhome · 30/05/2014 17:50

I really like the b dual now you mentioned it on a previous thread and i found some on clearance for £300Shock with a carrycot for £40 on kiddicare which is amazing. Ive started thinking about train and bus travel now too i would want to embarrass myself getting on a bus/train with a bulky pram or get panicked trying to collapse it or get it off again Blush think the vista is for me cant shake how awesome it is but i love the denim oyster too but it seems lower down than the vista Sad plus the more i think about the maxi cosi seat and base the more i think its a good investment even if we didn't use it we could sell it on separate

Hmmm, the vista does have a nice high seat if that's an important factor to you, it's not a small pushchair though. Opinion seems to be divided on the vista vs public transport question. I have no opinion personally because I know I'm unreasonable to start off with (anything over 53cm is toooo wiiiiiide for me). The Cruz??

AnythingNotEverything · 30/05/2014 21:02

I use a vista on public transport all the time. Even with the bassinet. Never had a problem, even when there's already been a pram on when I boarded.

No idea what people's problem is with prams and buses.

MILfreetoagoodhome · 30/05/2014 21:16

Its just some people i guess that get really pissed off with prams on buses it would bother me though if i took my pram on buses and someone had a go at me or i struggled to get it on Sad i have low self esteem and anxiety. Maybe the oyster is better then i am off to mothercare tommorow to test drive some more prams so ill see what else i like there. The oyster is supposed to have a chassis width of 22" ?? Its what it seems like in the videos anyway maybe i read the tape measure wrong

22"/56cm, that's exactly right.

I think on some buses/in some places the pushchair space is big enough for two smaller prams or one larger one, the vista also doesn't fit past the poles in certain buses etc. Some buses fit two doubles on though, I guess it just depends where you are.

If you don't use the bus daily you could certainly consider having the vista that you want for walking with and a small vastly cheaper stroller to use on the bus.

I have the Vista and I absolutely love it. Never had any problems with public transport!

This one is perfection to me lol Grin what do you think ? I could buy the adaptors to raise the seat and the seat is like the oyster max

I do love the colour and especially the tan trim bits. Have you seen one in person, any colour? There are a couple of issues with the oyster seat unit, it doesn't sit fully upright, which bothers some children and not others seemingly. Joolz do a very similar set of colours with the tan bits if that's of any interest? Another big pram though.

I would definitely buy an oyster but because of the improvements they have made to the seat unit (it now lies totally flat and goes totally upright) I would have to get an and give up on the colour (sorry :-( ).

Do you like the look of the easywalker mosey at all?

MILfreetoagoodhome · 31/05/2014 16:58

Went to mothercare and tested the oyster and got a demo and totally in love OH didn't even flinch at the price-tag Shock
