Ds has Asthma & Aspergers , I can't go anywhere with him so I'm needing a pushchair for him & have no idea of which will be suitable .
he is tall & well built .
I had a SilverCross Dazzle as his last one but I got rid just before his 5th birthday & have also had a micralite fastfold .

Are their any out their that are big enough for him ??

I'd look at getting a Maclaren major, you can usually get them on eBay.

dd still fits in hers and she is a tall 7.5 year old.

You will need a special needs pushchair. Contact your local children's centre/clinic or the school he attends for advice.www.specialneedspushchairs.co.uk/images/shuttle/shuttle_01s.jpg

Yes, you can often get them from wheelchair services, but not always, worth a try though before self funding,

McLaren major is a large McLaren buggy widley uswd. Can you get funding or will you be buying yourself?
Do you use public transport? Do you need to go off-road. Some sturdier buggies (but not good for public transport) are tomatoe special jogger and also baby jogger do a range of larger buggies.

I won't be able to get funding etc as he does not have a formal diagnosis yet & is unlikely to get one anytime soon Sad

Just because you don't yet have a diagnose doesn't mean you can't get any help.
It's still worth asking your pead/consultant it anybody else your sons see should be able to help or put your in the direction of somebody that can

TravellingToad · 18/05/2014 12:24

could you stretch to second hand? this one has 7 hours to run and they will ship it for £15

alternatively look for one you can collect?

I don't know how much your boy weighs or what type of buggy you want but if you are open to a three wheeler I know of a few options that might work.

Baby jogger city elite is sold as having 30kg weight limit in the US and has a very high seat back, the city mini and mini GT might be worth trying out too. The mountain buggy urban jungle is sold as having a 25kg seat limit in aus/nz and up to six years so also worth trying, you could look at the swift too but it may be a little narrow.

Phil and teds buggies can accommodate quite tall heavy kids (especially if you are using them for just one kid) and are not too expensive.

Hope that helps.

I've tried to get help/ somebody to acknowledge I need it but nobody is listening Sad
