Cheap preloved holiday buggy - Quest or Techno XT?

I currently have a Versa GT, which I love, but it's not what you'd call terribly space-saving when folded, although it is a great pushchair.

From all the reviews, and the bestbuggy.co.uk article, it seems as though the Techno is a bit bigger when folded - presumably it'll still be significantly more compact than the Versa, though?

Thanks in advance

I've had both, and would not have bothered taking the Techno XT abroad. It seemed heavier to me (although I don't think there is much difference in the weight of the two models on paper) and the wheels are bigger, which makes it more bulky when folded. It's longer too.

The Quest from 2012 onwards is suitable from birth (pre 2012 it was 3 months) so it's no different to the Techno XT in that respect. The only thing I missed about the Techno XT when I sold it was the extendable hood, which would be useful for keeping the sun out of the child's eyes (you'd still need suncream on their legs though) on holiday. I just used a Shade-a-Babe with the Quest to get round that problem.

Is the Versa one of the BabyJogger pushchairs? I have a City Mini, and think it's easier to carry when folded than the Maclaren because of it's 'square' shape. It's easy to turn round and catch a small child/an adult's legs with the long, thin Maclaren (they have a carry handle on the side of the pram)! But I guess the Versa is a lot bigger and heavier than the City Mini.

Sorry for the delay but thanks so much Alicemum! In the end we borrowed a Triumph from a friend, and it was great although the hood was a bit small. I think I'm going to look out for a bargainous Quest on eBay though - as long as it's not much bigger than the Triumph folded then that'll be ideal.

The Versa is a Babyjogger but is bigger than the City Mini - I love the easy fold but it is quite bulky, and we have the GT so it has massive wheels!

You're welcome, hope you had a good holiday!

Yes, I imagine the Quest is more or less the same as the Triumph when folded. Happy pram hunting!
