sitting on buggy board

is there any reason why a toddler cant just sit on a buggyboard instead of forking out for one of those expensive sitting ones?

It just wouldn't work. There's not enough room to sit and they would only be a few inches off the ground.

My son was happy to stand on his and I had the double buggy if needed.

I bought one if those expensive seat thingys (Twoo seat) but my son preferred to sit on the actual board when he was tired. Used to put his feet in the pram basket.
I was nervous at first but he was happy.
He'd only do it when he was very tired of standing Smile

DS used to sit on the buggyboard occasionally. Just make sure they know not to put their fingers near the wheels as they'll be quite close.

thanks everyone, ds is an awkward height to stand on the board as his arms need to be above him and he gets uncomfortable. we have done a trial of him sitting downbut i was worried that it was a big no no. will walk slowly and watch him, he is quite sensible for his age. even walking slowly is so much quicker than letting him walk if we need to get somewhere!

One of my dcs sat on the board quite a lot but only when she was old enough to really get that she couldn't just tip off, touch the wheels, fiddle with the recline etc. She did have an easy x rider when younger (just turned two) and it's a different experience. Sitting down on a regular board is a good temporary fix imo, you clearly have your eye on the potential safety issues of doing it.

Can't he hold onto the sides of pram rather than above? Then not such a stretch
