Small fold, lightweight, bar handle pushchair

I'm after a single pushchair.
I'm a childminder and at the moment I have a lo who refuses to hold on to the pushchair. He wants to hold my hand and I'm finding the umbrella fold, two handled pushchair difficult to steer with one hand.

So, I need a bar handle rather than 2 handles. Needs to be lightweight (less than 8kg) and fairly small fold so I can fit it in the boot with two dogs.

Graco do a great one - think its the graco sport. You really can fold it down with one hand and its light to carry and narrow too

Cybex have at least one chair that meets your needs. Think its the Topaz.

Ihateparties · 20/04/2014 09:14

The graco is the citisport. The cybex topaz has two handles, the Callisto has one but I didn't find it any better to steer than a regular umbrella fold. There is also stuff like the joie mirus and aire, red kite zumi, graco evo mini.. Any of that appeal?

twojues · 20/04/2014 14:39

I like the look of the Graco citisport. Unfortunately, I can't find one. There's none on ebay :(

I am tempted by the graco evo mini, but need to see one in real life. Need to try and find the joie ones to have a look at too.

Any more options are welcome. Thanks

Baby zen yoyo

twojues · 20/04/2014 21:13

Babyzen yoyo too expensive I'm afraid.

But I do love the look of it.

A micralite? They are pretty reasonable on eBay.

tethersend · 20/04/2014 21:16

Micralite super lite fastfold.

Folds small, 6kg, single handle.

It's the best buggy ever.

Artandco · 20/04/2014 21:35

Do look on eBay. A friend snapped a babyzen yoyo up for £95 the other week

Mamas and Papas Armadillo have had it for about a month and it's hands down the best pushchair I've ever had. The fold is so so easy, it's light, easy to steer, HUGE basket underneath, roomy seat and large hood. I love it Smile

twojues · 22/04/2014 19:03

I think the Armadillo is probably a bit large for what I'm looking for.
I have the Oyster Max, but want a small single for when I'm only looking after one child plus one walking which is probably three times a week.

I have been looking at the Mountain Buggy Nano. Has anyone bought one yet? What do you think of it?

Britax b agile - I love mine!

What about a baby jogger city lite? £199 and 7.4kg. www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1474769.htm

Tiggywunkle · 23/04/2014 16:04

The City Lite is a great suggestion. The Graco Evo Mini is fab too.

The Mountain Buggy Nano, I found to be hard to steer one handed. The handle is really low, and it affects the push. If you are of shorter stature then it may not affect you. However if you are short, then the Britax B-Agile is also very good.

If you like your Oyster Max, have you looked at an Oyster Gem? Thats great to use and push, and the fold is dinky. There is a choice of seats too. In fact, this would probably be my first choice.
