Help! We're moving to somewhere with no roads...

Well, there are roads in the Falklands, but apparently it's all a bit lumpy and bumpy. I'm after a stroller for my two year old that will withstand a bit of rough and tumble, and I've been very happy thank you with my Mamas and Papas Pliko pramette until now, but I'm really after something a bit more lightweight but robust. Any ideas gratefully received!

Erm I'd forget that. You need an offroader - an original mountain buggy urban or the nipper 360 which is amazing light but smaller.

Strollers, heavy toddlers (as opposed to babies) and rough and tumble don't go together!!

Where will you be living? If you are in Stanley you will be fine with a normal pushchair and that is what most people use. If you are in camp you might want something more industrial. Or a backpack style carrier. If you are not with the military it'll be expensive to get stuff shipped out and you may well be able to buy something second hand out there. If you go for an offroader with inflatable tyres take lots of spares as it can be difficult to get stuff shipped down there quickly.

If you have inflatable tyres "slime" them, it stops them getting punctures.

Thanks for the advice ladies! We'll be on camp and we've got a carrier too so I'll have a look on ebay for a bargain with your top tips in mind!
