Final two... BJCS or Oyster Max

I've finally narrowed down my search for a double buggy to either the Baby Jogger City Select or the Oyster Max.

Eldest child is two, baby five months.

Has to be comfortable for long periods, have two full seats and easy to take on public transport.

The seating combinations of the BJCS are exactly what I need, one or both can face me, great sized seats, big wheels for a smoother ride. So many advantages to this one but the disadvantage of how heavy it is with two children who are only going to get heavier is huge!!

The OM looks quite compact, one seat is parent facing and has great reviews.

What one would you choose please? I really need the help of people who have used one or both in double mode only.

Thank you

Of the two I have only used the max, I want to love the select because of the bj quality and seating options but I just cannot face pushing it. Personally it would be max all the way for me, esp with a two year old who will probably be out of the buggy increasingly often as time goes on. I say that in the context of how I use a pushchair though and the fact that anything over about 60cm wide I find impossible!

I've got a Max and a 2 yo and 7mo and I love it. 2 year old can't sit parent facing anymore as legs dangle on her sister. other way is fine tho.

just read your other thread. if she must face you then maybe the risers are a winner.

my 7mo can sleep in the bottom seat still as she is pretty flat.
also bottom seat is ace for chatting to toddler.

risers available on eBay. they lift the top seat a bit higher. we paid 20 ish for them. (so far not used..

I like the idea of the BJCS but also cannot imagine having to push it. We love our Oyster Max.

poocatcher how are you using the risers on the top seat?? I can only fit the carry cot or the car seat adaptors onto them?

poocatcherchampion · 11/04/2014 22:22

I'm not but I thought they just raised the seat. I did try it. I'm sure it works. I'll have another look if you like..
