Any Bugaboo bee owners who can advise? Worried if 2nd hand purchase is genuine

I am posting this on behalf of a friend so I apologise in advance if I have to go off and ask questions.

My friend has just bought a 2nd hand bugaboo bee (not the plus) from ebay. She is not unfamiliar with bugaboo products as used to own a frog.

It was couried and she is concerned about a couple of things. For one the stitching isn't particularly great looking. She messaged me a picture of the label and it is untidy looking. Also, she says there is no chasis number on it. The pushchair came with a custom made hood rather than the original. That isn't a major concern but she is worried about the other things and has asked me to start a thread. Any bee owners who can let us know about whether these are things we should expect with the bee or not? Thanks.

I have just sold my old bee and am waiting for the buyer to collect. Looking at it, the stitching is still good, even though it's from 2007 and has been through 3 children. The only place the stitching is a bit funny is around the button holes where you fasten the hood and the cushion at the back, just behind where the child's head goes, IYSWIM

Mine has a label on the back of the seat. It's by the lower end of where you clip in the straps. It says that the pram complies with BS 7409:1996. You can see it on the photo.

Then the chassis number is right under the seat, where the frame joins the seat. V hard to see. It is under the white horizontal clip in the very centre of the attached photo. Hope that helps.

One other thing to check is that the old Bees had a brake recall. You had to enter chassis number into the website and they sent some replacement parts. Now the brake is great. If it isn't your friend will need to sort that out.

Is that on the side of the hood? Mine had one there. Then all the accessories like the rain cover and sun cover had labels in the same place. When you lined them up you knew you had them in the right place. My buyer has now collected the pram, so I can't look to check things any more, sorry.

Is the pram in working order, do you have reason to be concerned?

She was more concerned about the quality of the stitching as everything was very much neater on the frog she had. That label pic was the seat as it came with a custom made hood. The seller had previously sold the original fabrics seperately as they were pink and she had a boy.

That and the lack of chasis number caused a late night panic! The seller offered a full refund but assured her that they had removed the chasis number herself as the sticker had peeled (it is a 1st gen bee prior to stamped numbers).

She brought it round the next morning and we gave it a good going over and are confident it is as it should be. For starters, it spins in a nice tight 360 position without you having to step away. I'm pretty sure you'd not get that in a knock off and everything feels as it should. It was one of those moments when once the doubt kicks in, you just can't shake it but she is reassured now Thanks.
