Silver Cross Reflex

Just received our brand new silver cross reflex. It looks pretty good, I think we made the right choice. We have the baby nest to go with it, to make it parent facing when the baby is small. My only disappointment is that the rain cover required for parent facing mode is not included. I have checked out the silver cross website and the john lewis site, and find no mention of this. However in the instructions it says a different rain cover is required. I have contacted silver cross, and hopefully they will get back to me soon.

Otherwise I think it will do the job.

Is it really as big as the dimensions suggest? The John Lewis website reckons it's 61cm wide open and folded, which seems unlikely...

It does not look particularly big to me. I had a triumph before, and I am not horrified at its size. I think I can still get it down the bus aisle. I won't know until DD arrives. I shall go and check out width after I have finished dying my hair (amonia free).

I have it set up for a newborn no way it measures 61cm width. Handle tip to floor 108 cm. Folds down pretty well, even with newborn pack on, without, it folds down pretty much like the maclaren.

Ohhh I think the John Lewis measurements are miles out then. Folding with the newborn pack on is a big plus. Is it like the Maclaren to push, or hopefully a little cushier ride compared to the triumph?

It feels more solid to me. The wheels feel as though they may take more of a bashing (we went through two sets of wheels on the maclaren).

The best thing to do is to go take a look at john lewis. This is what we did. We just wanted to have something forward facing for the first bit. This is a surprise baby, and we have got rid of all of our things including lovely pram form first time around. We wanted something, that did not feel we if we were skimping, and will hopefully last right through til when w do not need it anymore. Although we still have a newer triumph, but could not use at first and I am doing school run every day, so needs to stand up to some punishment.

Hi, sorry this message is a bit late! I was going to get another Maclaren techno Xlr as I did with my little boy but they are currently out of stock. I've been reading about the Silver cross reflex and like it. Can you tell me if it would fit into the boot of a small car, e.g a Mazda 2 or fiesta? Definitely thinking of getting one for our new arrival.
