Need parent facing and foldable with seat unit on. Advice on my short list needed please?

I have a 22 month old and my bugaboo chameleon has broken. Can't get away without pushchair as want to walk a lot in summer and days out etc.

I have a mclaren for school pick up but want something sturdier and parent facing for longer walks.

I was after the babystyle oyster but luckily drove to see it in a shop as ds was too tall for the seat.

I like the adaptability of the bugaboo bee and the way you can increase seat back but don't like the small wheels that can't cope with bumps etc.

So I have some other I have found but never seen so could do with some advice as can't travel to see all of them.

I don't want some massive thing that s too heavy to lift in and out of car.

Also don't wan to spend too much!

Oh and Mutsy 4 rider- hideously expensive but is it worth it?

Did you try your DS in the oyster with the pram liner still in? My DS is just coming up for 3, tall for his age and is still comfortable in the oyster, we had to take the liner out though as it's padded and makes a huge difference!

I'm not sure. It was more that he hit the hood and couldn't sit back comfortably without his head lying on the hood.

The hood can also be slid up the frame, its one of the only parent facing prams my DS still fits into (expecting DC2 and wanted a pram either child can fit into comfortably) :)

The versa seat is quite a bit larger plus has a footrest. I would go for that if you're willing to trade off a little on weight in terms of lifting. I used an easywalker june, found it very hard to handle, the newer mini is supposed to be a huge improvement on that front plus they are genuinely compact. Pretty £££ though. The versa is a great all rounder, it's just fairly large and fairly heavy.

We had the Mutsy and love it! It's not that heavy to go in and out of a car. The fold's a bit large, but flat, so you can always just stick it on the top of whatever is in the boot (or at the bottom really, either way).
These buggies are made to last, and last and last... they can take anything! Very robust. And the large wheels are very helpful for rougher terrain, it even coped well with snow.
I can't really see a downside to them really. And, had we not needed a double, I'd happily keep ours.

At the moment I use a maclaren for school drop off, trips to town, shops etc. but I would much prefer to see him.

As I have to get a new puschair for walking more especially in summer and the maclaren is too flimsy for that, I was after a puschair that was small and light enough to be whisked in and out of car for small trips as well as sturdy enough for longer walks.

If I could combine that with dog slaking suitability that would be great but I have put that factor aside tor moment.

Are the versa and Mutsy lightweight enough to be used 4x a day for small trips?

I will have to go and look at oyster again elsewhere a they didn't know hood slid up!

Yes the hood slides up on the Oyster. Its a pretty big seat. The Versa and Strawberry are lovely but on the heavy side. The Versa basket is better for day trips. I have lost things out of the Strawberry basket. The Easywalker MINI is gorgeous....much better handling than the June although they look similar. The Raspberry is due out this Spring - hopefully soon! Personally I hated the Bee - its too light and I got fed up with having a wheel off the ground. The other choices are much better IMHO.

is there any further info about icandy raspberry ? will it take car seat or any further updates on release date??
