Britax b agile carrycot frustration!

I have bought the britax b agile 4. I will be using it mainly with carrycot or the car seat for the first six months. The problem is with the carrycot it is such a tight squeeze(and I am 5ft tall) that I needed to take the seat fabric off as in fact the instructions suggest. This makes a lot of sense as for first 6 months will be using carrycot and car seat interchangeably so just slotting them into the adapters. However after taking the car seat or carrycot off the chassis, without the main seat fabric I can't fold the chassis. So frustrating! Any suggestions of what I am doing wrong?

What did you do with the fold strap when you stripped the fabric off? Disconnected it from one side.. pulled it out from where it runs through the seat, reconnected it? It's a while since I did it but you need to keep the fold strap on, connected at both sides. Have you got it like this? The fold process is exactly the same but without the strap looped up through the seat fabric.

Thank you! I probably sound like a complete idiot Blush, but I took the whole seat fabric off including the fold strap (which is what the instructions diagram seemed to show) Which I guess sounds where I went wrong. I will try and attach the fold strap (when I am less tired and pregnancy brain has diminished a bit).

I used to have a Britax Voyaga travel system and while it was built like a tank, I did find it all a bit simpler. Anyway thanks again.

No I can see how you might do that, the one I had needed a screwdriver to remove the fabrics (now there's a zip at the foot bit) and the fold strap didn't have that screwy thing, it was like a keyring but v stiff to get off. That's why I only did one side. I loved mine with the carrycot, hope you like it!

Thanks. I hope so too. It feels already much lighter admittedlywoithout a baby than the previous tank (and I am expecting to have a c-section) so will be appreciative of the easy fold once I get it sorted.

I have the zip and the screwy thing model so it was really easy to get off!

Thanks

I wore a hole in the carrycot fabric taking it on and off. Ended up taping a little bit of that thin polystyrene like packaging stuff over the catchy bit on the frame so it goes on and off easier. Might be worth having a look to see if there's anywhere in particular on yours that's really tight and if something like that could help?
