Oyster Max Carrycot Questions

I have an Oyster Max ready for when #2 arrives next month. DD has been trying out the bottom seat and thankfully she loves it.

I don't want DD to realise that the top seat is an option for her.

Does this mean I can only have the newborn in the lie flat seat or car seat? Would the carrycot, with height adjusters give enough space to get a small 2 year old in the bottom seat?

Hoping someone knows the answer..... I know some of you are really knowledgable about the Oyster Max having tested it.

I've got it. no chance of getting anyone in the bottom with the carrycot on the top.

but if it is any consolation now dd2 is five months and just out the carrycot she is practically lie flat in the bottom seat with less recline, so I am able to alternate them as required. dd1 is 22 mo and now just wants to walk mostly - she gets bottom deck if she is likely to walk mostly, or top deck for a big trip.

Thank you for that poocatcherchampion. I'm half thinking of not bothering with a carrycot now and just putting the newborn in the lie flat seat which is suitable from birth anyway so I can keep DD in the bottom bunk. I am not sure she would relinquish it easily now.....!

Would you not have dd in the top and carrycot on the bottom? I think this will be my favoured combination. I can't wait to pick mine up, it's so pretty :)

personally I love the carry cot and had it like misty plans. but your way would work if you didnt want one.

It's a really lovely pram Misty. I'm really pleased with mine.

I tend to think as the top seat as 'prime position' so think that should really be for the baby as DD does have the option of walking. I'm also worried about what happens when the newborn comes out the carrycot as I definitely think the bottom seat is better for the older child.

I think I'm going to see how I get on without carrycot as I can always get one off next day delivery if I want it and I barely used my last one. DD always seemed happier in the lie flat seat on my old pram with a bit of a view.
