Phil & Teds for twins

I have 7 month old twins and so far have been using a valco side by side double with the toddler seat on top for my 2 year old. Now the boys are a bit bigger I have been wondering about getting a P&T to use when the toddler is in preschool, but is the second seat really suitable for a baby?
Also there are so many models out there I can't really tell the difference between them. (Doesn't help that half the listings on eBay don't say which model it is!)
As this would be a second buggy for keeping in the car, how small do they fold? We have an SMax so size isn't a huge issue, but it would be easier to convince DH if it is a small folding one!

I think I like the Dot as the P&T website says it's the smallest. Does anyone have any experience of using this?

Finally, can you use a buggy board when the doubles kit is on the back or does the second seat get too much in the way?

Thanks!

Hi,
I see a mum every day at school with 21 month old twins and she has had them in a Phil & Teds Dot since they were very small (younger than 7 months I'm sure). Her twins are girls, and one of them is quite petite, but she's not always in the lower seat. The mum says she chops and changes which one is in the lower seat according to who is the most tired and who might want to stay awake and have a look around!

Can't answer any of the other questions though, sorry! But thought that might help a bit.

The dot and navigator have good reclines on the lower seat, 7m would be totally fine IMO.
