Hi All,

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and already have a DD who has just turned 2. We bought this buggy a while back (knowing that we always planned to have another) but now it's come from turning it from a single -> double I'm confused.

  1. My daughter will be at nursery most days so I'll often need it as a single for the baby. Are the only options the carry cot and the car seat (which I know you're not supposed to use for long lengths of time)

  2. If we are going to get a carry cot for the reason above - it seems that we can't get a carry cot we can use as a single and a double?? So does that mean the only option to buy 2 (@£200 each!) or only use double mode with a car seat when they are small.

Also - is a peach blossom 2 the same as a peach 2??

Thanks!

This confused me for so long. Which the peach 2 the blossom carrycot fits the upper and lower positions and also in single mode. So to convert to a double you need the blossom kit (which is the converter bars and lower seat) then additionally a blossom carrycot.

The original peach blossom had upper and lower carrycots, the lower one did not fit the upper or single position. The blossom 2 one does.

BUT I would totally go for the parent facing peach 3 adaptors if you have enough time (I forget exact release timing but it's soon). Then both seats can parent face. You can also use them in the same configuration as the peach 2, so both forward facing.

In short - x1 blossom carrycot, x1 blossom 2 or 3 kit. Job done. Car seat adaptors if you want/need them are also an extra. HTH.

Thanks so much.....they don't make it easy do they!

If I was to look on ebay etc for a carry cot do I have to look for a "peach 2" specifically or will any peach do?

It will have to be a blossom 2 carrycot, the old ones are different (I think.. the upper one may be the same as that used to fit the upper and single positions). It's the blossom 1 lower carrycot you really need to avoid as it defo won't fit. The peach main carrycot, 1 or 2, won't fit in blossom mode either but it would in single.

Probably the simplest way to make sure is ensuring you get one of the new colours - silver mint, Parma violet, berry bon bon or black.. I can't remember what the plain black is called.

Black magic is the peach 2 black colour :-)

Although you could have either main carry cots for peach and peach2. The fittings are the same, but check that it is main carrycot most importantly, as the carrycots for the blossom are smaller and not safety tested for the "main" position.

You would need a different carrycot (lower carrycot) for the bottom position when using in double mode. These can be picked up fairly cheaply on ebay or the icandy facebook group. They are quiet small so don't tend to be heavily used. Again, you could use a peach lower carrycot or a peach 2 (again, the fittings are the same) however the peach 2 is slightly larger than the peach.

The biggest difference between the models is that the adapter bars on the peach 2 are longer so you can fit a child in the bottom position for longer, as there is more room.

I've just started a new thread then seen this. OP have you got yours sorted?
Its seems really expensive to me to buy the adapters, new carrycot etc. the peach 2 in the first place wasn't cheap!
Does anyone know when the peach 3 blossom adapters will be available?
Thanks, and sorry to hijack.

Hi. Sorry to revive old thread. If anyone has an answer. I've revived the old icandy peach 2 as we are expecting a baby and need double. Got the main carrycot but I'm guessing we cannot put that in bottom. Is there a way of putting the main carrycot on top and having the smaller seat in bottom? We tried and seems no kid can fit in bottom. Seat?

I know its not really the rules but I used a wedge and tipped the seat flat, eliminating the need for the carry cot
