Help!?!

getting myself all confused & no longer sure of what I want or need!!!

DD1 will be 2.2 when DD2 arrives. I think it would be sensible to have a double. So far we have an icandy strawberry & a silver cross stroller. Not fancying having to rely on buggy board (as I fear DD1 will escape from it and/or the novelty of it will wear off). Not fancying a sling for newbie either really.

I have a corsa & always nipping in & out of the car to shops etc plus we have our fair share of long off road walks too.

would ideally like baby to face me & toddler to face forward. I've heard donkey is a nightmare to put togetger & take apart for in & out of boot. Heard city select is really heavy. I suppose as we do have 2 single pushchairs we don't necessarily need one that converts...

also need one that car seat can clip too & probably a carrycot.

also... (never ending ctiteria...) I don't like the idea of one child sitting under the other staring at the back of a seat.

help!?!?!?! some direction at whst I should be looking at would be really helpful!

It depends how long you want baby to parent face for. If you're ok with them parent facing just until they're out the carrycot then that's one thing, but if you them to parent face for longer then that limits options more.

If it is the latter, have you considered stroll air duo - daisys-dream.co.uk/Stroll-Air-My-Duo-Black
Not sure on folded size and corsa boot but looks like a nice double possibly for your needs

If you're happy to have the baby face forwards after the carrycot stage then a baby jogger city mini double would likely fit in your corsa, the carrycot might have to go in the front footwell or something but the pushchair should fit in the boot. There are probably other side by sides that would. We haven't mentioned the stroll air my duo on here recently but that is similar in features to the donkey, you can choose to not have a carrycot as the seats are lie flat and I think it would be good for walking. Plus a range of other side by sides that take one carrycot, mountain buggy, easy walker, tfk etc.

Otherwise whilst I do get what you mean about tandems and yes the view is limited I never see children staring at the back of the seat in front, they look out to the side... Back at the parent talking incessantly... That kind of thing...

If you are talking about an elder sibling that walks some of the time and their time spend walking naturally increases over time... That can be a reason why people end up choosing those tandems. The good ones are more manageable to push whilst one child walks, something long and heavy makes that harder to do. Plus often the baby is in the lower, more limited view position whilst in a carrycot anyway (as per the peach blossom, oyster max, apple2pear, twone etc). By the time the baby is sitting and paying more attention to surroundings, thus a contender for the front seat then the elder sibling is nearer 3 than 2 (with your age gap as an example) and fairly likely gets a good portion of walking time to offset time spent in the seat with a more limited view. I dunno, maybe that's just how it worked for us, not necessarily relevant but something to consider?

Great minds Grin no one has mentioned the stroll air on here for ages! now twice in fifteen mins.

I dont think the Stroll Air will fit into a Corsa boot TBH. Much as its fabulous.
Is the Smyths Dimples Duo still around Parties?
The Oyster Max would give you an option where the children face each other.
I have to say, TBH, what you think about what the child thinks about being in the back, doesn't always match the reality. My eldest used to fight to get into the lower seat of tandems - and even now would opt for the lower seat if she could. The two iCandy's in particular, and other tandems, have really good spacing between the seats, so there really is no reason why the rear child wouldn't have a view. TBH most under 12 month olds will nap for a good proportion of any journey out anyway, and the baby is in the carrycot usually for the first 6 months anyway whilst the toddler usually gets prime position up front. TBH my DD complains more at the lack of view from her car seat, than the lack of view from a pushchair seat! By the time your baby is 6 months old and ready to go into the seat unit, your toddler may be walking more anyway!
I would seriously concentrate on the practicalities - you have a small car - find something which fits that, and which you can push and then see what other choices you have from there - because I suspect you will have narrowed the field down.

Smyths stopped selling the dimples duo as far as I know. I like the look of the obaby zezu multi with tandem kit. Never seen or felt one but spacing looks great and the integral board thingy is kind of ingenious.

Does anyone have an obaby zezu multi tandem buggy? I have just a two year old who still needs the buggy when we out I am expecting 2nd baby. This brand is appealing to me as the space between front seat and toddler seat seem larger than others, reasonable price etc. Does anyone have this pram as no where seems to stock it for me to look at
