Does anyone own a Bugaboo Bee? I found one for a good price on Gumtree so am going to see it tomorrow. Is there anything in particular I should be checking or making sure works? I have no experience of prams!!

Which model? Dies it have solid white wheels or spoked wheels?

Check the wheels. There was a recall on an older model (although I don't know the details).

The owner says she's only had it 7 months so it's still under warranty and she has the original receipt. She says there's nothing wrong with it but it's just that she's bought another pram. Hard to see the wheels from the photo on Gumtree but they look to be white but not necc solid! What's the difference?

Solid white wheels are the older bee. If she's had it 7 months from new then it's a bee plus. Warranty is good. Check that front wheels swivel properly and do not shimmy as they go. You'll know if they do! Check that the fold is smooth and doesnt get stuck and that seat bottom (the bit where child's bottom sits) sits nicely on the chassis and doesn't collapse with any weight on it. The back of the seat should click nicely into its various decline positions too.

There's not too much that can wrong on a bee that isn't easily fixable. They're fab pushchairs, I loved my ones.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Great user name btw - I loved the Malory Towers books!
