Do you have to use a Britax car seat with a Britax pushchair?

Hi,

I have a Britax B-Smart pushchair and I'm trying to get a car seat that I can clip on to it to form a travel system. However, using the Fit Finder on the Britax website, it seems their car seat doesn't fit my car!

Is there any way around this? I've seen adaptors that allow you to fit your Britax car seat onto another brand of pushchair but not the other way around.

Thanks.

I think they do exist as I have seen a maxi cosi on a britax b agile frame. They might be using the oyster adaptors though, which fit on the b dual, thus will fit on the b smart. Not safety tested I imagine, you would have use your own judgement on that.

Does it say why it doesn't fit in your car? I like the babysafe, it allows for a taller child than the maxi cosi. It wasn't on the fit finder for our car because of short belts but it did actually fit.

Oh OK, that's interesting thanks. I'll look into it further.

Annoyingly it doesn't say why it won't fit, it just doesn't bring up the babysafe in the list of suitable seats. It does bring up the belted base, but says it is only suitable to use in the front seat.
