Vista hood question

It's basically sitting on DD's head now and I know it can be lifted to a higher setting for when they're taller like this, but I lift it and it just drops straight back down again. Does anybody know how it's supposed to lock into place please? TIA

No answer for you, but I emailed the company via the official website with a query about the carrycot and they got back to me really quickly.

Have same problem might e mail hq and see if there is a solution. Did consider unclipping it, but good to have when it rains etc?
