Phil and teds with cocoon

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience of using a phil and teds with a cocoon instead of a carrycot as a from birth pram?

Someone at work recommended it but I can't help thinking it looks a bit like putting the baby in a holdall!

Thanks Smile

I have, got it for my toddler and Newborn I love it it looks so cosy, especially with winter coming. my ill one loved it, however if your baby is big it probably won't last the full 3 to 4 months I think it is

Thanks. Do you know if you use it for a single baby, it can be forward facing, like a carrycot? I can't find any pictures online.

I did exactly what Andthats does with my just 3 yo and newborn 2 years ago. I always used the cocoon with the baby' s head at parent end, as there is a very slight slope on the main seat in cocoon mode. Cocoon is ace, really cosy.

DD2 is still in the cocoon in the Phil & teds at 20 weeks and I've just taken the second seat off to encourage DD1 to walk. DD2 loves now being able to see a bit more.

She is tiny though, 6lb2 at birth and only just over 10lb now, she'll be in the cocoon for a while.

I used it and loved it when I had DS2 and DS1 was 21 months old. It was so cosy for DS2 and I used it for as long as I could til he outgrew it. It's soft and you just lift it on/off the seat when it's in the lie flat position, so you can have it facing either way. I obviously had him with his head near me when he was underneath, but if I was pushing him without DS1 in the front seat, I put the cocoon the other way round.

I haven't used it as a single pram yet Smile

I have seen pic of the cocoon in parent facing when using as a single. Most of the more recent ones take the peanut carrycot though. I think it's the e3 and older than don't but check that i might be wrong.
