Icandy Peach 2 Jogger or Peach 2 Blossom converter?

Hi All

I am hoping you can give me some advice. I am expecting DC1 due in November and have been looking into puchchairs. My DH and I are really taken with the Icandy Peach 2 Jogger.

We live in the countryside, by the beach and my parents are the local farmers. We enjoy long country/lane walks, therefore we think that the Jogger will be more suited to the terrain we are likely to come across.

However, the Icandy's are expensive and we hope to be lucky enough to have at least 2 children around 18-24 months apart. Are we throwing good money away by not future proofing and buying the Icandy Peach 2 which can later convert to a Blossom? Our concerns about going for this option is that it will not be so good off road.

Are we daft to even be thinking this far in advance when we havent even had our first yet?

We dont want to find ourselves having to buy a cheaper double buggy in a couple of years time leaving an expensive Icandy in the garage.

Are we overthinking this? Should we just buy the one we have our hearts set on and cross the bridge of a double if we come to it? Does anyone have experience of a four wheeled Peach 2 off road?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Deanne

I dont think the 4 wheeled Peach will do what you want. Its not an off road pushchair at all. The Peach Jogger is better off road. The Peach wheels will simply clog up in mud, leaves etc. However, I am not 100% sure the Peach Jogger will cope with really serious all terrain. Mine went to the beach and into the woods etc. But it can be tippy on cambers and thats my only caution. I dont know where you will be going though.

Given your criteria, you are likely to want a double to go off road with too. To be honest, pushchairs for two children which go off road are fairly limited (and getting more so as two major off road doubles have ceased being made recently).

I would get the Peach Jogger and worry later about a double. Your age gap will be critical if you are considering an off road tandem. Less so a side by side.

If you still want to consider a double pushchair which goes from one child to two, with off road capabilities then I would be steering you towards a Bugaboo Donkey, TFK Joggster Twist and Mountain Buggy +One. However I still think you are better buying what you want now, knowing that you will sell it one day to get a double (if you need one). Treat it as a rental and dont get too attached to it!

Hmmm if I lived a genuinely ourdoor lifestyle as you describe then I don't think either is up to the job. The regular peach most definitely not. I spent my first day with my peach 1 at the yorkshire sculpture park and it wasn't an experience I would seek to repeat. Not impossible just really annoying, fine for the odd day out, day to day i defo would have got something different.

Where you have the off road requirement then I think for me that would take presidence as if you do find yourselves going over genuine terrain often your double will need to have the same terrain capabilities as your single. So if the peach doesn't work for you as a single with your off roading then it's equally useless to you as a double.

Ultimately I guess you decide the most important factors to you, from what you said I placed ability to handle terrain at the top of the list, you may not actually have that as your deciding factor. As someone said on another thread the other day, some people say terrain and mean miles over fields and farmland, no paths, up mountains etc where other people mean paths one step away from paved and grass in the park.

Thank you both for your helpful replies, I think you have persuaded me to go for the Jogger.
