Moving onto a Mclaren type pushchair....

DS is 16 months. We use the pushchair (icandy strawberry) most weekends, but it's heavy, bulky and I want something lighter.

Is it worth me buying a maclaren type pushchair at this stage? We drive most places so he only tends to be in it if we're out shopping or on the odd trip on a Saturday to the farm etc. He's a good walker, and has been walking for around 6 months, although is slow as he keeps stopping to look at things so I'm not ready to ditch the pushchair yet.

How long roughly do you think I'd be using the pushchair for? Are Maclarens comparable, ie do the offer the same type of comfort, recline etc? He does nap in his pushchair if he's in it around nap time.

I bought a Maclaren Techno XT when DD was 13 months. Best thing ever! She's now 23 months and we're using it less, but it still has a lot of use. It's so easy and comfortable to push, reclines flight has full suspension, is padded and suitable from birth so definitely supportive.

Best of all they resell for a good price.

If I was you I would - I did! And have never once thought I made a mistake. I love that pushchair lol.

I'm not sure. We have only ever used a full size pram until not needed ( cameleon). Youngest is now 2 and he barely uses tbh as walks everywhere. So if yours is similar you may only get 6 months or so proper use out of it. We still have our pram but i imagine just for use when ill/ jet lagged etc for the next 6 months then get sell it.

Seeing as you say it's just the odd trip at weekends, do you think you could just cope a while longer with the iCandy?
