Buggy on holiday - please tell me what would you do

We are taking a week's holiday on the south coast with a 2 year old and a 3 month old. I can't decide if we should:

Take our Phil & Teds Sport which both children can nap comfortably in but is massive and will almost completely fill the boot of our estate car.

Or

Take our Maclaren Quest for the 2 year old and a sling for the baby. This would allow us much more room in the car for luggage but the 2 year old doesn't nap for long in the Maclaren and I'm worried about the 3 month old getting used to napping in the sling when I'm trying my hardest at home to get her used to taking naps in her cot and self settling to sleep.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts please, especially pros and cons that I haven't taken into account.

Thank you x

If 2yo is nearer 3 than 2 i would probably take the single, if nearer 2 then the double, taking all the wheels off etc to make it smaller for the car journey.

I would take the phil & teds - we had many nice holiday when ours were that age! Off for a walk, 2 yo gets tired, pop both in buggy, they fall asleep - so off for a coffee!! :) We did have to get a roof box though for trips away, although if you take the wheels off the phil & teds they go really flat!?

I'd take the one where both children sleep well and you get more time to relax :). also nice to have. a real from the sling on holidays? Then get roof bars and a roofbox for the rest of your stuff (you will no doubt need one soon anyway go bikes, camping etc)

I would take the p&t if you can fit it in the car. We used ours for as long as possible because a day out carrying a baby and a ton of stuff is hard work, and even more hard work when you have to do it for a full week. We even took the p&t when the 'baby' was walking most of the day as back up in case the 3yr old demanded to be carried on our shoulders!
