Hmph. Well the update is, if I might hijack slightly! I took the Brisk back.
It is enormous, I mean maclaren Techno scale, huge wheels as well, and it's got a nice finish and so on.
BUT I didn't feel very secure about using it with a child. Why? Well the fold and unfold is Harsh, with a capital H - I hurt my feet with it, it's quite heavy, it's loud and feels almost industrial in its clackyness. I was scared of me, or a child, getting something trapped in it - it's such a new brand that I couldn't feel 100% trust in it.
Also, and this is significant I think - the harness has like a soft, cotton, almost knitted feel to it - I don't know how long that would last in regular use - and the way that the shoulder straps slide onto the side buckles is useless.
You put them on, and they just instantly slide off again, meaning that with two hands and great care and a sleeping infant you could do it up, but with a wriggling toddler, any sort of movement or disturbance and the shoulder straps are OFF never to return.
I gave up without even trying it with a child in there.
The fabrics on the brisk are shiny, not expensive looking at all, the hole in the footmuff for the strap to go through had been sewn in at an angle, and it was not the high quality attention to detail I'd thought from reading the box.
Took it back to mothercare this morning...which is good as I have too many already!
Parties I hope you are faring better
